In honor of Barclays Center opening tonight (with the 1st of Jay-Z’s eight soldout shows) - via transportationnation:

How to sell New Yorkers on a new stadium: point out they don’t have to drive to it. (Source: ad in the 2nd Avenue F train station.)

But, despite the 11 subway lines (plus LIRR) that converge right under the arena, no doubt a great number of people will drive.  
Indeed, Gridlock Sam—who engineered the transportation plan for the area—predicts a Carmageddon in these parts:
