via GoBrooklynArt: "GO See Art in Brooklyn This Weekend"

The Brooklyn Museum is doing a crowd-sourced exhibit: artists all over the borough open their studios to the public this weekend, visitors can check-in & vote (via the project’s app or website), and the Museum will exhibit the top vote-getters.

Via the project’s tumblr, gobrooklynart:

Our borough-wide open studio weekend is finally here! On September 8th and 9th, more than 1800 artists across 46 neighborhoods in Brooklyn will open their studios to share their work with you from 11am to 7pm. We hope you’ll visit them.

Community members registered as voters will visit studios and nominate artists for inclusion in a group exhibition to open at the Brooklyn Museum on Target First Saturday, December 1, 2012.
